Houseproud Financial Assessment Officer

20 to 25 hours per week. Potential to increase the hours by agreement. Contract for fixed 1-year term with a possibility of extension.

The candidate needs empathy for working with older homeowners and disabled people and a thorough knowledge of the benefits system. Required to be based and work in Croydon, Kingston, Lambeth, Merton, Richmond, Sutton and Wandsworth.  Working with the seven London boroughs and the Home Improvement Trust, a not-for-profit organisation under the government backed Houseproud scheme.  Houseproud assists vulnerable homeowners who are aged 60 or over, or who have a disabled person in their household, to repair, improve or adapt their properties to enable them to continue to live safely and independently in their own homes.

The ideal candidate must have at least CeMAP but ideally Ce-RER Certificate in Equity Release, or equivalent.  They will provide financial expertise and guidance to individual vulnerable clients through home visits and on the telephone.  This is a wide and varied role which will include promotional activities.

Salary to be agreed based on experience. Role is one of guidance and not selling, no commission will be paid. Travel expenses will be paid.
