What Type of Work
The Houseproud Partnership is primarily concerned in assisting those over 60 to repair, improve and adapt their homes and so allowing them to remain in their own homes for longer in comfort, security and independent. In so doing Houseproud promotes the Decent Homes Targets as set by Government and is in accord with The Regulatory Reform (Housing Assistance) (England & Wales) Order 2002 and the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS). Thus, major repairs, improvements and adaptations for homeowners and long term leaseholders may include all or some of the following: Damp proof course Central Heating New roof Replacement windows and doors New guttering Plumbing New bathroom & kitchen Improved home security Disabled adaptations such as a level access shower Improving energy efficiency |
